HALL OLYMPIAD OPENING 2010!!
Went all the way to SRC after visiting Jul at the U-flea market to catch the 2nd half of the opening ceremony Cheerleading Competition!

We were hoping 13 would win =D
And there were mascots too! Like this Wild Wild West gun-toting robber. Haha.

My hall's mascot was a rabbit....I thought mascots were supposed to be ferocious???! So funny.
PS: Atarashii kamera ga hoshii desu! Because 2 mega pix is really sad
Homework, but it's fun

Painting and Painters are not always part of Art
Wednesday, January 20 6:45 PM
Every time I go out of my room I smell paint. Eww. Don't get me wrong, I love it when a building has just been newly painted and everything looks so neat and clean. I just thought ordourless paint has been invented already – remember the sumo wrestler nippon paint advert?
Sigh. This is the 3rd day, and I can't wait for it to be over! The curtains have been permanently shut because it's irritating to think that the painters on cranes might be looking in. The door is also constantly locked because the past few days I've opened the door to find myself face-to-face with some guy who's painting the corridor walls. The first time was freaky! He was just right outside my shoe cabinet!
Speaking of doors, this hall doors do not have the eyehole! Why?! I just have to be more careful from now on =)
Resting in hall

New hall! - so exciting! There's lifts! haha

The last time when my american friend came over for exchange, he kept saying how the hall here rocks. And then the rest of us would shake our head and say it's because he got the 'condo' hall. All that "school wants to make a good impression on the international students" stuff.
And now that I managed to get it: it's pretty good for a small place away from home =)

School's much more than studying, baby!
Friday, January 15 10:48 PM
I'm glad school started -
well, half-started actually, because I've only attended 1 class so far - for many many reasons.
+because the first lesson is where the future for the semester looks bright and the class projects and studying and stress have
not yet started piling up
+because it's great to see my friends again, especially those that I didn't see during the holidays. Best of all, I'm so excited that hh and sharon are in the same class as me!
+because my psych class proft turned out better than I expected. And trust me, I expected much worse ;)
+because the bus interchange is exclusively for us students to use. Too bad it's only temporary. And hello! We dont have to walk further to reach the bus! (this is a minor point, because the new interchange looks pretty nice too)
+because wsc was pretty great too!
The bad news about school will start next week =p

Before school starts
Tuesday, January 12 6:25 PM
Any idea how to centralise this? I'm getting quite sick of seeing this blog shifted to the side on my longish lappy screen, while other blogs are comfortably in the middle. It has something to do with the blog coding, I'm sure. I tried tinkering with it, but perhaps the person who designed it forgot to add an additional line of code?
Anyway, you could tell from the previous post that school has started, beginning with add/drop (which I heard was totally screwed up this sem). Lucky me escaped the adding torture!
I think I'm still in my holiday mood - had outings in the previous weeks. And one more coming up tomorrow with the manics! I haven't seen them since the last dinner outing. Luckily classes have not started yet, so I still have some time to convert from holiday mode to school mode.

Restful increase
Monday, January 11 10:19 AM
I woke up early, and then realised I didn't have to =)
After all the drama last sem, this sem seems to be starting well (thks QiQi!~), and I believe this is the first time (and last time) I don't need add/drop. Woot!
Now, if only they'll stop changing my language exam date...
