ARRGH!! I can't stand it!
(
yeah. moody post right after a happy christmasy one)
awake from 4-6AMsleepy from 2-6PMsleepy from 8-10PMawake from 12-2+AMWhy why? after such a wonderful trip in the west, my body must react in such a way when i'm back in the east. T_T
Especially when I have a huge report to churn out too. I keep telling myself it's christmas (i.e. celebrate/party/relax time) and I can't think when I'm sleepy (brain can't function/words become incoherent). But the dateline is ticking awfully close. Bah! Humbug!

It has been quite a while

How does one survive a 24 hour plane flight in the slightly squeezier section of the plane?
Contrary to my reservations, economy's not so bad after all! Window seat, no kids, food in cute containers, no selfish people in front, no big-sized people beside me. The seats definitely got bigger the last time I sat in one. And did I mention it's a window seat? I got the most
amazing view when the plane flew over north pole.
(Speaking of amazing views, the transit stop was in freezing minus 11 degrees Moscow but some Russian gals are just hot! Picture leggy blonds in fur trimmed coats, skirts, woollen stockings and stilettos)
To pass the time in the air, I watched a gazillion movies - Up, Julie & Julia, Indiana Jones, G.I.Joe, 500 days of summer, Simpsons movie, Coco avant chanel, Sex and the city movie. Woohoo!! If you think about it, it's 16 hours plus plus *shock* I confess I walked out of the plane dazed.
=p

Post exams Pre christmas

Hooray data party is over!
Hooray, my overseas trip is fixed!
Hooray, Christmas is almost here!
But even though exams have ended a week (almost) ago, there's not much I have done. Here's a list (because I'm too ___ to go into the details) haha. :
thurs- Agonized over horrible statistical results of my fyp. And my yearly visit to the dentist.
fri- Manic 'minus 2' plus ah gong seafood dinner. Too bad I had to leave before dessert, but it was nice to see everyone. Let's have another meeting! Ice skating? Cycling?
sat- The famous data party, complete with prof, "guest of honour", and free food =D And then at night I shed some of the calories at my fav gym. Picture this, full length windows overlooking the pool, and a view of planes coming in to land while the sun sets over the horizon. Too bad I won't be able to visit the gym since I'm jetting off for a week.
sun- Breakfast with my family followed by a stroll up a hill (i.e. the highest point in my tiny country). (Pic from wiki - I'm not crazy enough to lug along a camera. Passer-bys would think I'm sightseeing. And besides, a camera is HEAVY when you're panting uphill and realise the end is not in sight)

I felt accomplished, but incredibly sleepy after that..zzzZ. Haha anyway, there are many different trails of varying difficulty.
mon- Christmas shopping! So exciting to see the christmas sales, discounts, and 2-for-1 offers. *cough* I mean, so exciting to see the christmas decorations, excited shoppers, and sparkling christmas trees. Gimme some snow!!!
